The new Avonmore Library |
The CAB is fully up and running, but the
library is waiting for new shelving to display more books
(needed) and the computer/internet services won't be working
until next week. Update: Internet access is now available.
The library has just 50% of the
previous area and it shows, with a limited book catalogue, but it
still provides a small newspaper/magazine reading section, a children’s
book space and six internet connected computers.
The Centre is managed by the
CAB, with volunteer library staffing, self service machines and connected to H&F's online library catalogue, so books can be renewed, ordered to collect and returned
there.
A 24 hour automated service is available by phone 0303 123 0035 and online www.lbhf.gov.uk/libraries (Library card number and PIN required)
