The current employment climate is tough for young people and there is a lot of competition for good jobs. Having the right skills when applying is vital.
I am trying to help young people in Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush compete in the job market and as part of this I am inviting you to an event to help give you the confidence and skills to use in your job search.
Come and meet experts who can help you find a job and show you how to make the most of your skills when you apply. You can also practise your interviewing skills and get advice about your CV.
Programme:
11.00 Arrive, refreshments, introduction from Andy Slaughter MP
11.30 Main presentation from Tina Rycroft of the Plus Team www.theplusteam.co.uk
12.30 Break for sandwiches
13.00 Small group sessions with advisors from Job Centre Plus and the National Careers Service.
This event is free and refreshments will be served. If you would like to attend, or know of someone who would benefit from this event, please e-mail me at andy@andyslaughter.com to reserve a place.
The event is aimed at 18 to 24 year olds, but older people can attend.
